Pro gives you managed cloud AI that works out of the box — no API keys, no local GPU required.

Privacy at a glance:
- Char's servers do not store your audio, transcripts, or conversation content
- Your user identity is never sent to external AI providers
- All providers have zero data retention by default for streaming/API usage
- Analytics logs metadata only (model name, token count, duration) — never content

Free Trial
New users can try Char Pro free for 14 days. During onboarding, select "Start Free Trial" to begin. The trial includes full access to all Pro features including cloud transcription and AI services. When your trial begins, you'll see a congratulatory modal confirming your Pro access.
Subscribing to Pro
Create an Account
Open Char and sign in or create an account. You can also sign up at char.com/pricing.
Choose a Plan
Visit char.com/pricing to view available plans and subscribe. Your subscription will be linked to your account automatically.
Start Using Pro
Once subscribed, Pro features are enabled immediately. Go to Settings > Account to verify your subscription status.
Troubleshooting
If you're logged out while using Pro features, you'll see a toast notification prompting you to log back in. Your Pro status is preserved across app restarts, but you'll need an active internet connection to validate your subscription periodically.
